LUX-Nuuksio Snowshoeing in Twilight
Come and experience the stunning winter landscapes of Nuuksio on snowshoes and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the fading daylight.
We meet at the main entrance of Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre at 4:00 PM. Please arrive a little early, preferably 5–10 minutes before departure. Once everyone has their snowshoes on, we head out on a guided excursion into the beautiful winter nature. During the trip, you will learn the basics of snowshoeing, enjoy relaxed movement together, and hear fascinating insights from our professional guide about Nuuksio National Park and its unique natural features.
As the sun sets, we light atmospheric lanterns to illuminate our path, and headlamps are provided for everyone. During a short break, we enjoy a warm drink and take a moment to soak in the quiet winter forest.
After the snowshoeing trip, you are welcome to continue the evening with other activities in the area. You can join the free Candle Yoga and Sound Bowl Relaxation session at the Nature Centre, unwind in the warmth of Solvalla’s lakeside sauna (with the option for ice swimming), or enjoy the event atmosphere at the light show starting at 6:30 PM. Warm drinks and light snacks are available at the Haltia Lake Lodge's Maisemakammi.
Duration of the activity is 2 hours. The lenght of the hike will be modified to the group
The price is inclucing the guiding, snowshoes and poles, headlamps and a warm drink
The activity will take place with a minimum of 6 participants. Max group size is 20 people.
In case of no / too little snow, the hike will be made by foot
What to pack: Outdoorsy clothing matching the weather (we prefer layers, so bring an extra layer for the break!), hiking boots or similar kind of winter boots. Water bottle is recommended too.
